In the course of carrying out our activities, AFC FASHION EVENTS LTD (ACN 684 602 695) and our related bodies corporate (together, Australian Fashion Week, we, us or our) will collect, store, use and disclose personal information. We are committed to the protection of your personal information and to compliance with Australian privacy law.
    2. This policy has been developed in accordance with the privacy laws applicable to our business, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act).

    1. We collect and hold personal information about individuals for the provision of our services and purposes connected to those services (together, our activities).

      1. Identity and contact details. We collect individual’s names, dates of birth, genders, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, and other identifying and contact information.
      2. Other information. We collect text of written and oral communications gathered in the course of our interaction with you, including where you interact on live-chat, social media and emails, provide feedback and online reviews and other information from your interactions with us online, cookie information, IP address, URLs, search histories and other associated information.
  4. How we collect and hold personal information
    1. We may collect personal information directly from you in the course of providing our services, from our website, by completion of surveys we undertake, if you attend any events or workshops run by us, and/or directly from you.
    2. Personal information is held securely, is subject to appropriate security protections and is held only for as long as the information remains relevant to the purpose for which it was collected.

We will not use or disclose personal information for any secondary purpose, unless that secondary purpose is related to the primary purpose for which we have collected that information, and you would reasonably expect the disclosure in the circumstances, or unless you consent to that use or disclosure.
    2. The purposes for which we collect, hold, use and disclose information may include:
      1. conducting our business and achieving the purposes of Australian Fashion Week;
      2. to communicate information to you about our activities; and
      3. to provide you with information or advertising relating to our activities (including targeted advertisements) or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you;
      4. to improve and optimise our platforms (including our websites) and services;
      5. for our internal administrative, research, planning and marketing purposes; and

      1. Our affiliates and related bodies corporate.
      2. Third party service providers who assist us to carry out our activities and conduct our business.

While our disclosure of personal information to such third parties is governed by this Privacy Policy, such third party’s use of your personal information, including contacting them with any queries you have about the personal information they hold and how those parties use your personal information will be governed by their privacy policy. It is your sole responsibility to review such privacy policies.

    1. We will review and update this Privacy Policy from time to time as needed without notice. Therefore, you should review the terms of this policy periodically to make sure that you are aware of how we collect, hold, store, use and disclose personal information. The date listed at the beginning of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last updated.

    1. We will only keep records of your personal information as long as they are still necessary for the purposes for which we collected such personal information.
    2. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure any personal information we collect, use or disclose is up to date and accurate. If you believe personal information that we hold about you is not up to date or accurate, you may ask us to correct it.
    3. You may ask us to provide you with details of the personal information we hold about you, and copies of that information. We will respond to your request and attempt to provide you with the data within 30 days of receipt of your request.
    4. If we provide you with copies of the information you have requested, to the extent permitted by law, we may charge you a reasonable fee to cover the administrative costs of providing you with that information.

    1. It is unlikely that we will disclose personal information to overseas entities.
    2. Regardless of the location of our processing, we will impose adequate data protection safeguards and implement appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
